Patrons Tips 1.1 makes creating patronage tiers easier. Firstly, with a quick setup option, and secondly, with automatic WooCommerce product creation directly from the patronage levels interface.
Quick start
When no membership level exists, a “Quick Start” button allows you to create some with a single click.
Two levels are created by default with demo data and their associated WooCommerce products. These can then be modified to suit your needs.
Of course, you can absolutely create your own patronage levels and their associated products as indicated in the documentation.
Your patronage levels generated by the “Quick Start” button can now be selected in the subscription form.
As a reminder, the “Patronage Sales Page” was automatically created when the plugin was installed. Don’t forget to publish it to start collecting your first contributions!
In summary, to help you set up your patronage, the “Quick Start” function of Patrons Tips 1.1 creates:
- Two default patronage levels
- Their associated products, depending on the plugins you use (WooCommerce and subscription plugin)
- A first restricted post and a post category “Restricted Posts”
- A first restricted media and a media category “Restricted Media”
- A WooCommerce product category “Restricted Products”
Feel free to customize and use the various possibilities offered by the plugin!
Automatic product creation
When you create or edit a patronage level, you can easily associate it with a WooCommerce product without having to create it yourself. In order to do it, Patrons Tips 1.1 adds a “Create product” button to your tier interface.
A product is then created and will be used by all patronage levels: if you add another level using this button, it will be added as a variation of the same product. You can then modify the product as needed: any changes made to the product will be reflected across your patronage tiers.
Automatic product creation is available for one-off products (if you are using WooCommerce) and recurring products (if you are using a subscription plugin).
Of course, you can absolutely create your own products as indicated in the documentation.
