Restrict content by month of publication
Patrons Tips Pro allows you to restrict your posts, products and media to patrons who actually participated during the month your content was published.
This feature is exclusive to Patrons Tips Pro, you won’t find it anywhere else!
All other patronage systems (Patreon, Tipeee, Ko-Fi, Buy Me a Coffee, etc.) have the same major flaw : patrons unlock the entirety of your content with one payment.
This causes several issues:
- The longer customers wait to pay, the more content they will have access to. On the contrary, you would like them to become patrons as soon as possible.
- Patrons can access everything with a one-time payment. You would surely prefer patrons to sign up for a subscription to generate recurring revenue.
- Patrons lose access to unlocked content after one month. It would be fairer if they retained access to what they paid for.
Patrons Tips Pro offers a unique feature to address these issues: it allows you to restrict your content to patrons of the month of their publication only.
For example, restricted posts published in July 2025 are accessible to July 2025 patrons. From August 1st, newcomers won’t be able to unlock those posts.
You no longer give everything you have created for years to the first person who comes along for little money.
It protects your works and encourages your backers to be consistent in their support so they don’t miss out on any new exclusives.
Patrons will be able to view unlocked content at any time in their patron area, even when they are no longer a patron.
Note that this system comes in addition to Patrons Tips’ classic restriction feature. You can use them both at the same time: restrict certain post/product/media categories to current patrons (free) AND other categories to patrons who backed you during the month of publication (pro).
Display a list of patrons who actually contributed to posts
Patrons Tips includes an option to thank your current patrons below your posts. The Pro version makes it even more relevant and rewarding by displaying only the patrons who did back you when the post was published.
Your patrons can proudly say “I was there” as there will forever be public proof of their support engraved right on the post page!

Restrict the availability of patronage tiers
You may want to offer your patrons rewards that you can only produce in limited quantities (e.g. handcrafted items, commissions, one-on-one interaction, etc.) or that you simply would like to make premium. Therefore you need to limit the number of patrons who can subscribe to the corresponding tiers.
Patrons Tips Pro allows you to set the availability of each membership level.
The availability of your tiers is restricted by month. For example, restricting a “Gold” tier to ten units means that a maximum of ten of those tiers can be sold in January, ten others in February, etc.
Patrons who have an active subscription automatically secure their place for the next month! This is another good reason for your patrons to maintain their monthly subscription.
Display monthly stretch goals
Patronage means community! You can set up monthly goals in terms of amount of money or number of patrons, and display them on your website thanks to a new block / shortcode.
It encourages your current patrons to keep supporting you, and new patrons to join the adventure as they will get more rewards.
A progress bar fills up as you get contributions. Once the current goal is reached, it is automatically checked off and the next goal is featured.
It is up to you to imagine rewards that stimulate group dynamic! (e.g. lottery, spare content, monthly FAQ/livestream/podcast, etc.)
Manually add and modify patrons and their history
Patrons Tips Pro allows you to manually add patrons from your back office, without needing them to subscribe through the patronage form.
You can also edit, revoke and enroll any patron to any tier, any month.
You have complete control over what each of your patrons can access.
If you were already using WooCommerce before Patrons Tips, you can automatically add past patrons and their contribution history (i.e. customers who purchased a product you now associate with a tier) by clicking “Sync new patrons”.
Patrons can choose a nickname
By default, your patrons’ first name and last initial will appear in the lists.
Patrons Tips Pro comes with a new block / shortcode that allows patrons to define a username alias that will be displayed instead.
This form will be displayed by default in the patron area.
Your patrons will be even prouder to be mentioned by their pseudonym in your thank-you lists.
Reward annual loyalty with badges
Loyal patrons deserve recognition! With Patrons Tips Pro, patrons will earn an annual badge every twelve months of contribution (all tiers taken together) that will be proudly appended to their username in patrons lists.
Your most regular patrons will feel privileged and recognized for their commitment.
A new block / shortcode is displayed in the patron area so that your backers can see which badges they earned and how many months are left to get the next one.
This encourages your patrons to keep supporting you as long as possible!
You can also enable rewards sending tracking. If you want to manually send rewards for loyalty anniversaries, Patrons Tips Pro includes a tracking tool that lets you know what to send, to whom, and when.
Automatic reminder notifications (with WooCommerce)
You can configure an email that will be automatically sent to patrons a few days before their patronage ends.
It is the perfect tool to have your patrons renew their contribution before it is too late. Not only will your patrons not miss out on any restricted content, but you will also avoid any payment interruptions.
This email will not be sent to patrons with an active subscription.
